Bicentennial Campaign

The Archdiocese of New York is one of the most diverse communities of Catholics in the United States. In 2008, we will celebrate our 200th anniversary as an Archdiocese.  In preparation for this major milestone we have embarked on a vital fundraising effort designed to secure the current and future needs of our parish and Archdiocese.

Parishioners of The Church of St. Bernard are asked to participate in this endeavor, not only by focusing on our own parish needs, but by also keeping in mind the needs of the entire church throughout the Archdiocese of New York.  For 200 years, the generosity of the Catholic population here in New York has made it possible for us to be one family in faith.

To continue this legacy of hope, every parish in the Archdiocese will participate in the Bicentennial Campaign.  Our Campaign goal is $300,000, which includes our 2007 Cardinal’s Appeal goal of $32,000 and $53,600 for an Archdiocesan fund for needy parishes.  The remaining $214,000 (80%) will be used to complete an assortment of necessary projects here at St. Bernard’s which include:

The Finance Committee here at The Church of St. Bernard is confident we will be able to complete these projects if our goal of $300,000 is met.

Please consider making a generous contribution to secure the future of St. Bernard’s.  Bicentennial Campaign brochures/pledge cards can be obtained by contacting Ann Kittelstad, the parish administrative assistant on 949-2111, or by visiting the rectory office Monday through Friday from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.
