A Note from Fr. Morris:

Dear Parishioners of the Church of St. Bernard:

More Great News! Cardinal Dolan has announced that all Churches in Westchester County will begin Level IV this weekend, allowing the celebration of normal Sunday Mass schedules at 25% seating capacity. We will resume our normal Sunday schedule of Masses at 5:30 pm on Saturday, and on Sunday at 9:00 am, 10:30 am, and 12:00 pm (Spanish).  I am happy to announce that we are adding an additional Mass in Spanish on Saturday night at 7:00 pm to allow more Spanish speaking parishioners to attend Mass in-person.

To ensure the safety and protection of our parishioners all safety precautions are being taken. Parishioners attending Mass are asked to bring a face mask, except for children ages 2 years or younger.  Physical distancing of 6 feet will be followed, except for families members attending Mass together.  Entry to the Church will only be through the door located at the top of the handicap ramp that leads into the Community Room. As parishioners arrive at this door face masks will be required, hands will be sanitized, and gloves will be distributed to be worn throughout the Mass.

To be fair and to offer all parishioners an equal opportunity to attend Mass we will be using a Reservation System called Sign-Up Genius, which is user friendly. For now parishioners will need to make a Mass reservation to attend Mass since the seating capacity is limited to 125 people. Please make your Mass reservation by visiting our parish website and clicking on the Sign-Up Genius button. If this button does not appear for some reason on our Home Page, it can also be found under Parish Information.  Please note that you will not receive a printed ticket through this reservation system. Your reservation will be confirmed at the door at the top of the handicap ramp. From there an usher will guide your to a reserved seat that maintains the 6 feet social distancing requirement.

If the 125 person capacity limit is reached in the Church, we can accommodate another 125 persons downstairs in the Gym where the Mass will be broadcast on a large projection screen via our new Livestreaming Video System. Holy Communion will also be distributed to parishioners viewing the Mass in the Gym.

This weekend we celebrate the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ. What a providential time to receive Holy Communion after months of not being able to do so!

May God Bless Our Parish,

Fr. Morris
